Cadets from 41 Hercules had the opportunity to head out to 15 Wing Moose Jaw for a day of Gliding and working on push crews. It was perfect weather for gliding with low winds, and a clear blue sky. The temperature was quite warm for a late September weekend and made for a sweaty day for most cadets especially after working on he push crews.
All 28 cadets in attendance had the opportunity to get up for a flight in the Schweizer SGS 2-33A Glider, and for a few of the cadets it was their flight. One cadet noted she has aspirations of being a pilot and when asked how she liked her first flight she was smiling from ear to ear and noted that the flight increased her passion to becoming a pilot in the future.
The next opportunity for gliding will likely be Spring 2025 when the gliding site reopens for the next season.
