This coming Sunday is Easter Sunday. As such there are no Sunday activities, including
- Floor hockey
- Flight Sim’s
Due to the Easter Break, there will be no cadets on Wed 3 April 2013. We start back on Wed 10 April. This is also the Sponsor Meeting night. Please come out and lend a hand.
It’s official, the range team has made it to Provincials. Details as follows:
Date: Sat 13 April
Location: RCMP Range (use access to Depot off the end of McCarthy Blvd). Tell security you are with the Cadets on the range.
Equipment check right away at 8am with zeroing in at 9am. Dismissal for pickup is 5pm.
NOTICE to Level 1 Cadets
The first year Cadets in LEVEL ONE will be at the Regina Airport on Wed 24 April for a tour. These cadets need be dropped off and picked up from the Airport. More details in 10 Aprils announcements.
Those Cadets attending the Easter Trip, be at Armories for 08:30 on Tuesday morning. If your parents need to drop you off earlier for work the doors will be open at 07:30 but do not let your ride leave before you speak to Capt Giesinger.
I order to get on the bus, you MUST have
- Your complete uniform
- Your Squadron Jacket
- Completed and signed parent package
You will not be able to get on the bus if you do not have all these things.
Drill Team will be starting on Sunday 7 April from 4-5pm at the Armoury. Bring your boots. This is open to everyone. See OCdt K. Drew if you have not signed up and wish to do so.
The next Parent/Sponsor meeting will be held on Wed 10 April 2013. The meeting at 6:45.
Attend the meeting and have your name entered in a draw for a night at the movies.
The Sponsor Committee plays a very important role in the Squadron and the executive really needs your help. Many hands really does make light work. The time commitment is not very much when work can be distributed around to many people. One of the main jobs is Recruiting and Fundraising. A Squadron like ours is very active and we do many types of activities in hope that we can provide something for everyone. However, a lot of these activities have a financial cost attached which is not supported by DND. This money is raised by the sponsor committee. The committee members burn out easy when there is only a few to do the work. Please come out, Support the sponsor committee and your Cadet.
Sample photos of Cadets will appear on the website in the next week or so with instructions on how to order copies if you so wish. The cost of the photo’s is as a fundraiser that will go back to the parents committee.
Retake night will be April 10th (CO’s parade) If you missed your portrait picture, or don’t like the one taken, this will be your last chance.
The clothing order has been submitted and should be available for pickup on the night of 27 March.
