Supply:
If you have APPLIED for summer course and you think your uniform is getting too small, you MUST see Capt Sweitzer on Wed to get fitted. We lose access to the ordering site in approx 4 Weeks and Supply is NOT OPEN after 14 May. If you need new uniform parts you need to see Capt Sweitzer NLT 8:45pm Wed 14 May. No requests or fittings after this time.
Range
No range Sunday due to Mothers Day.
Band:
There will be a band practice from 12:00-1:30pm on Sunday.
Flight Sims
Flight Sims will run from 1:30-3:00pm if there is interest. Please sign up if you intend to come.
Drill team
There will be drill 3:00-4:00 on Sunday. Bring your boots.
Survivair
Those interested in being on the Sqn survival team for the provincial competition (23-25 May) must sign up tonight so the team can be confirmed. Only 2 cadets from each level will be selected and together everyone will compete in Range, First Aid, Search and Rescue, Snares, Shelters, Fires, Signals and Orienteering.
Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR):
The Annual Ceremoinial Review is on Wed 28 May 2014. This is the Official Last Parade of the 2013-14 year. This is also a VERY IMPORTANT parade and attendance is mandatory. Please do everything you can to be at this parade. Full Dress/Medals. Parents, Friends and family are encouraged to come and watch. the Reviewing Officer will be from the STARS team. More details in the coming weeks.
Level 5 Training Weekend:
This weekend is the Level 5 Training weekend. Transport and other info to be handed out on Wednesday night to the Cadets who are attending.
Mess Dinner:
The Squadron Mess dinner for the Cadets will be on Wed 21 May 2014. This will be at the Royal United Services Institute/Regina Officers Mess located in the white building next to the Armoury. Use the Back Door off the exhibition grounds.
Dress is Full uniform but with WHITE SHIRT and BLACK BOW-TIE. If you are unable to get a white shirt and bowtie, just wear the Uniform shirt and tie. The dinner is only open to the Cadets and invited guests. We will be handing out awards and a few promotions after the dinner at about 8:00pm, THIS IS OPEN TO THE PARENTS so please come. Cadets will be dismissed after that, approx 8:30pm.
CADETS WILL NOT be at the Armoury that night.
More Timings and details in next weeks announcements. Please signup on Wed night if you are attending (all Cadets should be attending as this is a NORMAL parade night).
Squadron Parade Dress
Full uniform this week due to CO parade. However Starting Next week we will be in Summer dress. NO TUNICS or TIES. Make sure you spend time ironing your shirts.
Ducks
Mini Capt Quackers (Sqn Mascot) are now available for $3 during canteen and at the end of the night, See Capt Giesinger.
Summer Camps
Offers of participation are due back ASAP. Staff cadets – your offers will be mailed to you directly, 2Lt K Drew still needs a copy of your offer to put in your file. Please
bring in a copy as soon as you receive it.
If you are selected to go on Course this Summer, you will be required to take the “Offer to Participate” form with you to the Training Centre. 2Lt Drew will be giving you a copy. DO NOT LOSE IT.
Vimy Ridge – April 2017
