Just a reminder to returning cadets that parents need to come inside as you need to complete the personal verification form. This form is required to be completed at the start of each training year and without it your cadet cannot participate in optional training like flying, field ex’s, etc.
Lt K Drew will have those for you likely on a table to the right as you come into the building.
The fall Gliding date for the squadron is set for Sunday 21 Sept 2014. This is an important activity and all cadets are strongly urged to participate.
For those new to the program, Gliding is flying in a glider. Each flight is approx 15 min. The gliding is done out of the Base in Moose Jaw. Transport and lunch are provided.
Please signup quickly so we can finalize out counts for Lunch.
Dress: Civilian clothes.
– Closed toe shoes are required, no flip flops or sandals are permitted on the gliding field.
– Sunscreen & bug spray
– Water bottle
– Something to enterntain yourself when not flying or helping out.
Cadets will meet at the armoury on 21 Sep at 7:45am. The bus leaves at 8am sharp..
Cadets will be dropped off at the armoury when we return which weather permitting this will likely around 4pm
Gliding is very weather dependent. While gliding activities are weather dependent, going out to the centre is not. We go rain or shine and there are many of other activities planned in the event we are weathered out.
Fall Field Ex:
The fall field ex is scheduled for 10-12 October at Camp Saskadet. Please mark your calendars. All cadets are strongly urged to participate. Signup sheets are out now.
As per the e-mail sent out last week, please DO NOT talk to Capt Sweitzer about new uniform parts. There is a form on the signup table and was e-mailed to you. Please fill it out and deposit it in the box provided. Capt Sweitzer will create a schedule and let you know when to come to supply. Please note what size you have so that the appointment can be scheduled easier.
Females, we will try to schedule time each night for the next few weeks around 7pm to have a female Officer available for sizing.
If you DID NOT get your rank badges at the end of the year, please let Capt Sweitzer no. Do not ask about Shoulder flashes or Name tags. Unless you joined late last year and di not get issued a name tag, you are on the hook to replace your name tag yourself.
Cadets, please remember to check in nightly at he signup table with Capt Sweitzer to get your attendance taken. Please also signup for activities at that time also. Please remember to bring your own pen.
