In a touching display of tribute, 41 Hercules Air Cadets recently gathered at the Field of Honour in Regina Cemetery. Their mission: to prepare for Decoration (Flag) Day, a solemn ceremony honouring Canadian Armed Forces veterans which took place on June 2nd.
Armed with brushes and buckets, the cadets meticulously cleaned the headstones of veterans, each stroke a gesture of respect for their sacrifice. With a mid afternoon break to refuel with a lunch they continued to work tirelessly to ensure the memory of Canada’s heroes remains vibrant.
As the day ended, the cadets stood back, admiring their work—a testament to their dedication to honoring those who served. Their efforts, alongside the upcoming ceremony, ensure that the legacy of Canada’s veterans endures.
