41 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron (RCACS) was formed on 18 October 1941, some six months after the establishment of the Air Cadet League of Canada. World War II was in its third year and Canada was just 74 years old as a country. The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) had been in existence for a mere 17 years.
Throughout the 2016-17 training year, 41 along with 7 other squadrons across Saskatchewan and many more across Canada will be celebrating an amazing 75 years, at the same time we will all be celebrating Canada’s 150th anniversary.
Join us as we commemorate our great history & look skyward to a bright future as new generations of young people continue to learn, serve, & advance through the air cadet program.
Regina’s air cadet squadrons are hosting an amazing weekend of events for alumni, friends of the program and current cadets.
The event weekend will be held May 26-28th in Regina and is open cadets, alumni, and any of the general public who would love to attend this historical event. Event highlights include:
- An adult social hosted on Friday evening. A come and go meet & greet along with registration and will call.
- Saturday evening at the Queensbury Centre, guests will enjoy a fabulous meal and guest speaker, Desmond Brophy. Not to give too much away but this Regina born 41-alumni and pilot has had an unbelievable career that is still going strong.
- Sunday will start out with a pancake breakfast followed by a tri-squadron wing parade.
There are different options and pricing available for tickets for the weekend but availability is limited, so book your calendar and get them while they last!
